KR Bears and Dolls was born on 17th August 1998, the day we opened our range cooker and cookware shop ‘The Kitchen Range and Cookshop’. Still very much up and running to this day online at www.krcookshop.com and in bricks and mortar at 3 Well Close Square, Framlingham.
Back in 1998, Trisha’s love of Steiff bears turned into a small business and found a home in the corner of the shop, displaying the very first order of Steiff bears. The ‘KR’ in KR Bears and Dolls comes from ‘Kitchen Range’ – as in Kitchen Range Bears and Dolls, but it was just too much of a mouthful! – so KR Bears and Dolls it became.
The corner of Steiff bears was followed quickly by some stunning German Waltershausen dolls, then a few Zwergnase dolls, some Gotz dolls – and the rest, as they say, is history.
The Kitchen Range and Cookshop moved to bigger premises in 2007 and has grown and grown. Meanwhile, KR Bears and Dolls has moved more or less online with just a few select pieces dotted around in the cookshop. Local online customers can, of course, collect in person from us in the cookshop.
