Pallimchen
From the Sigikid catalogue:
‘A ‘Pallimchen’ only grows on very special, very rare Pallimchen apple trees. If you uncover two colourful little leaves tucked behind a flower bud in spring, then there’s sure to be a tiny Pallimchen inside! These little fellows grow hidden deep within. In order to thrive they need plenty of sunshine, lots of healthy fresh air and cool morning dew after a full moon. That’s why everyone makes sure the air is always clean and the water stays pure. With every ray of sunshine and wonderful nectar, refreshed from the cool rainwater, they grow on the tree just like apples and become more and more sprightly. To ensure they can swing on trees for as long as possible and keep their round, rosy cheeks, there are little cloth pouches hanging from every tree.’
