When Margarete Steiff founded her plush toy company in 1880, the first toy she sold from her factory was a little elephant. In the anniversary year of 2020, Steiff are celebrating 140 years of the collection.
This little elephant is 22 cm tall and made of the finest grey mohair with airbrushing details to the corners of the eyes and the inner ears, as well as his tail. The soles of his feet are made of velvet soft felt. His beautiful saddle is a special decorative touch and is edged with gold coloured trim and decorated with a pompom.
